Snapshots: How the Bay Area looks, from the Golden Gate to Googleplex, during COVID-19 time

Three weeks ago, the Business Journal published a view of Silicon Valley that’s rare: quiet, largely carless views of the region from the skies.

The photos were taken during what should have been a busy time in the Valley’s normal life: mid-day on a Tuesday. Instead, they revealed an area largely shut down two weeks into the shelter-in-place rules imposed to stop the spread of COVID-19, the global pandemic that’s upended life and business everywhere.
