Salesforce snatches up office building across from its landmark tower

Salesforce just expanded its growing Transbay district empire. 

The CRM software company has acquired a five-story building at 440-450 Mission St. — located across the street from its namesake 61-story tower at 415 Mission St. — in a transaction that closed on March 17. 

Salesforce paid $145 million — or $2,500 per square foot — for the property, according to the San Francisco Chronicle, which first reported the deal on Tuesday. A spokesperson for Salesforce confirmed the transaction…
